Booking Terms

ISIMANGALISO GATE FEES 

Park Entry fees apply at the Dukuduku Gates (near St Lucia) & the Nhlozi Gates (off the N2 at P3800 – R60 per 1-5 pax vehicle / R85 per 6-12 pax vehicle / R120 per 13-20 pax vehicle / R210 per 21+ pax vehicle / R55 per adult per night / R40 per child under 12 per night / R9 per person for Community Levy per night / R9 Overnight accommodation. 
The park fees are to be paid in cash at the gate on arrival. 

Park gates are managed by the iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority and prices are subject to change.

GATE OPENING TIMES: 

Summer: Nov - March 05h00 to 19h00 
Winter: April - Oct 06h00 - 18h00 
 
Note: All permits issued at the entry gates are to be stamped by the Lodge in order to exit the park or a fee of R600 will be charged by the Park Authority. Main gates are locked after gate hours & late check-ins must advise the lodge in advance so that entry arrangements can be made.  
 
PLEASE NOTE: NO LATE ENTRIES PERMITTED THROUGH DUKUDUKU GATES AFTER HOURS. Arrangements must be made in advance for access through Nhlozi gate. 
 

FULL BOARD RATES INCLUDE 

All Meals, teas & coffees 
All local minerals, beers and house wines (excludes spirits) 
Afternoon game drive on day of arrival (departs 15h30 /16h00 - guests must arrive by 3pm). 
Morning game drive on day of departure (5am – 8am) 
A Full day safari is included on a 2 night stay where 1 full day is available: 
Boat & Wetland incl picnic lunch (9h00 – 15h00) (1st full day activity) 
Beach and Eastern Shores incl picnic lunch (9h00- 15h30) (2nd full day activity) 
Hluhluwe or Western shores incl brunch (05h00 – 13h30) (3rd full day activity) 
Or, early morning game drive & afternoon game drive if guests do not want Hluhluwe. 
Guests must please advise lodge in advance of preferred activity if only in for 2 nights or the boat activity will be scheduled. 
Any special rates may exclude some of the above.

CHILD POLICY 

We welcome children 6-12 years of age 
Children under the age of 6 are booked subject to special consent of owners, or if there is a group family booking and are to be under supervision of their parents at all times. 
Children rates apply to children sharing with parents. (2 x full paying adults). 
The standard rooms can accommodate a maximum of one extra person sharing with adults. 
One child sharing with one single Adult. The Adult will be charged a single rate and the child will pay the applicable child rate. 
Children occupying their own room will be charged the applicable adult rate. 
Kiddies Menu 
 
There is a Kiddies Menu but we do require that we are informed in advance and confirmed with the chef upon arrival. 
Children’s dinner time is at 18h00 and is served in the main lodge dining area. 
Children are not permitted to dine in the boma. 
Children’s meal times must be supervised by parents. 
Please request the full child policy from the lodge. 
 

Swimming Pool  

Please note that the swimming pool is unmanned and unfenced. 
Children in and around the swimming pool need to be supervised by their parents at all times. 
 
DEPOSITS 

Booking: A deposit of 20 % will secure your reservation. 
Balance of accommodation account is payable 45 days prior to date of arrival. 
Bookings between 20 December & 5 January will only be confirmed when deposits have been paid. 
Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 7 days thereafter the provisional booking will be released. 
Bookings will be confirmed when proof of payment has been emailed to reservations and cleared into the lodge bank account. 

CANCELLATIONS 

A deposit required on confirmation 20% of total lodge costs. 
Full payment require 45 days prior to travel date.
29 - 15 Days prior to travel date 80% of total lodge costs 
14 - Arrival date 100% of total lodge costs 
In the event of premature departure the full extent of stay as originally booked will be charged.  
Temporary Cancellation Terms and Conditions are in place to accommodate COVID travel bans. 
Clients are to have their own travel insurance in place to cover unforeseen travel cancellations.
